Tangled is a show about regenerative agriculture and landscape rehydration.
The name is a reference to On The Origin of Species. Where, in the book’s final paragraph, Charles Darwin describes a hillside ecosystem:
It is interesting to contemplate a tangled bank, clothed with many plants of many kinds, with birds singing on the bushes, with various insects flitting about, and with worms crawling through the damp earth, and to reflect that these elaborately constructed forms, so different from each other, and dependent upon each other in so complex a manner, have all been produced by laws acting around us.
I’m interested in how we can be inspired by these principles that have worked for so long in the natural world. How can we re-think how resources flow through human systems? So we can make them more efficient, effective and sustainable.
